Bias for the Trace of the Resolvent and Its Application on Non-Gaussian and Non-Centered MIMO Channels

The mutual information (MI) of Gaussian multi-input multi-output (MIMO) channels has been evaluated by utilizing random matrix theory (RMT) and shown to asymptotically follow distribution, where the ergodic (EMI) converges a deterministic quantity. However, with non-Gaussian channels, there is bias between EMI its equivalent (DE), whose evaluation not available in literature. This related for trace resolvent large RMT. In this paper, we first derive resolvent, which further extended compute linear spectral statistics (LSS). Then, apply above results on MIMO determine EMI. It also proved that −0.5 times variance MI. Finally, derived utilized modify central limit (CLT) calculate outage probability. Numerical show modified CLT significantly outperforms previous methods approximating distribution MI improves accuracy probability evaluation.
